CBS News has announced that this Sunday, November 30, 60 Minutes will broadcast their story on the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet cheating scandal. Anticipated by thousands of players online, the segment “The Cheaters” is expected to bring more public attention to the biggest scandal in online gaming with an effort to protect players.
The investigation was handled by both 60 Minutes and the Washington Post in an effort to find out how a group of online poker players caught a multibillion dollar company red The focus of the segment, and why we are writing about poker instead of slots in this article, is to show why regulation is needed not only for online poker but online casinos.
It’s not entirely sure if that is how the public will feel about online gambling after the airing of this segment, and for some they feel that it will only bring more uncertainty. Interviews with Mike Sexton, Greg Raymer, and Linda Johnson will be included in the segment. |
